Stay Active, Stay Connected, Stay Strong
The Well Walkers is a community of Canton neighbors who believe that staying active is the key to staying young. We meet three times a week to enjoy the fresh air, move our bodies, and build lasting friendships. Whether you've lived in Canton your whole life or are new to the area, there is a place for you in our stride.

A Walking Pace That
Fits You
This isn't a power-walking competition. We move at the pace of conversation. You’ll never be left behind, and you’ll never feel like you’re holding anyone up. It’s about steady movement that protects your joints while keeping you fit.
The Best Part of Your Social Life
Life is better when you’re connected. We’re more than a fitness group; we’re a tribe of neighbors. It’s hard to feel lonely when you’re sharing stories and laughs over a 3-mile loop through our beautiful city.
A Home Base at The Well
We don't meet in random parking lots. Our walks start and end at the Stanley Building (217 West Peace St). It’s a safe, comfortable place to gather before we head out and a familiar "hub" to come back to.
Staying
Independent
We walk today so we can keep doing the things we love tomorrow. Whether it’s traveling, gardening, or keeping up with the grandkids, these miles are an investment in your ability to live life on your own terms.

We Walk Every Monday, Wednesday, & Friday at 8:30am
We walk about 3 miles together; however, we route them in a way that allows people who are just beginning to stop if they need to.
Our walks usually take about 45 to 55 minutes. Because we’re all chatting and looking at the historic houses, the time flies by. If you ever feel like you need to head back early, our routes are designed so you're never too far from The Well.
We get it! Everyone is in a different place in their walking journey. When new walkers are present, we start with a few laps around the Square to allow new walkers the opportunity to end their walk early if they need to.
Wear sneakers and weather-appropriate clothing. Layers are always a good idea, so you can adjust as you warm up from walking. Bring a water bottle so that you can stay hydrated.
Consistency is the name of the game, so we don't let rain stop us. In the event of inclement weather, we will just do our walk inside The Well! It's not as pretty as mother nature, but it gets the job done!
We usually have a group of between 4 and 8 people walking with us in each session.
